I-SITE PRESENTS MUSIC MIX VOL.10 – Not Your Average Holiday Mix

If you’re as sick as we are of hearing the same old Christmas songs year after year on the radio and in all the stores, then you’ll appreciate our new mix for the winter! This is a collection of some of our favorites, including new versions of old holiday classics as well as a variety of songs about all things wintery. Make a cup of hot cocoa (with an extra shot of something “special” to warm you up) and give it a listen!

Two Guys On Beer visit I-SITE for Beer Week!

As lovers of beer we knew we had to be a part of Beer Week somehow. So for the second year in a row we got Two Guys On Beer to do a taping in our office. “As a nod to the England vs. USA game in the World Cup 2010 on Saturday, July 12, Ian Cross, co-founder of I-SITE in Philadelphia, PA invited us to co-host an awesome event – a taste-off between an American Pale Ale and a British Pale Ale.” Watch more episodes of Two Guys On Beer

I-SITE launches iPhone app in the fight to save the Mountain gorillas

I-SITE is leading the way in iPhone apps for causes with the release of iGorilla, the first app supporting the plight of Africa’s endangered mountain gorilla.

The idea for the app came about after CEO Ian Cross traveled to Virunga in 2006 after attending a creative economy conference in Rwanda. On his return Ian reached out to Emmanuel De Merode and Samantha Newport of Virunga National Park to discuss developing a social network for the gorilla families. With the explosion in the number of smart phones worldwide this idea eventually evolved into iGorilla.

Features of the app include:

  • Select a gorilla family to follow
  • Read individual profiles and stories
  • Follow the gorillas through a daily blog
  • See videos from the field
  • Donate directly to the park

“The survival of Congo’s Mountain Gorillas relies on our ability to reach the individuals around the world who care, and to keep them informed on a daily, even hourly basis, of the Ranger’s efforts to protect the wildlife in Virunga National Park”, said Emmanuel De Merode, Director of the park. “iGorilla provides us with that opportunity.”

Since launch in May the app has been featured on the BBC World News and driven a new wave of awareness and support for the cause. iGorilla costs $3.99 with 70% of the proceeds going directly to the park. (https://flathatnews.com/)
