Schuylkill Yards Website

Brandywine Realty Trust, one of the largest, publicly traded, full-service, integrated real estate companies in the United States, turned to I-SITE to create a new Schuylkill Yards website to publicize their extensive and exciting developments on the west bank of the Schuylkill river in Philadelphia. This up and coming neighborhood is home to East Coast travel hub 30th Street Station and on the doorstep of the University of Pennsylvania.

The I-SITE team brought their extensive experience in community building and digital design for districts that have undergone major transformation in recent years such as Lower Manhattan and Times Square

As a first step in the project, the team familiarized itself with Brandywine’s portfolio of current and planned buildings that offer over 6.9 million square feet of office, lab, residential, retail, hotel, and green space. The goal for the redesign was to present Brandywine’s impressive property portfolio and neighborhood highlights such as the Cira Green rooftop greenspace.Schuylkill Yards Website

During the planning phase Brandywine and I-SITE determined that the navigation should be simplified and supported by a dynamic design focused on presenting the benefits of living and working in Schuylkill Yards. The I-SITE team was able to leverage a wealth of video and photography provided by Brandywine to help tell the Schuyllkill Yards story and create a clean and useable design.

Some of the highlights of the website include:

  • Clean, attractive responsive design with strong Schuylkill Yards branding
  • Property listings with filter by type
  • Integration with enterprise calendaring system
  • Vimeo video integration

Drupal 8 was selected as the CMS based on the expandability, security and administration requirements. The site is hosted on I-SITE’s favored hosting platform Pantheon.

Post-launch the I-SITE team will continue to support the website and work closely with the Brandywine team to add new content and features.

Fuel Up to Play 60 Website

The I-SITE team bolstered the movement to make schools a healthier place with the design and development of a website for the National Dairy Council and National Football League. The goal of the website was to enroll and support thousands of educators providing access to activities, tools and resources that help their students to engage actively in the national Fuel Up to Play 60 program.

Once registered educators were able to track the progress of their schools and students through personalized dashboards and by following six clear steps for the Fuel Up to Play 60 program. To motivate educators and students the site includes digital rewards that are downloaded once certain tasks have been completed.

FUTP60_welcome_compKey features of the site include:

  • Personalized dashboards with message center
  • Interactive Playbook with over 60 activities
  • Interactive Timeline for the six steps
  • Digital Rewards for meeting program goals
  • Video integration with SchoolTube

Post launch the I-SITE team supported the website prior to a full transition to the National Dairy Council team.

Hidden City Festival Website

In 2013 Hidden City Philadelphia approached I-SITE to design and develop a website and web application for their site-specific Festival. The goal was to develop and engage a passionate community of festival supporters and participants inspired by a ‘kickstarter’ community-driven model.hiddencity_project

Phase I of the website was focused on promoting the Hidden City sites, the artists and their projects. Festival supporters were able to create user accounts and donate not only money but the valuable volunteer time and project materials that are vital to seeing artist project through to fruition.  The I-SITE team selected Ruby on Rails for the CMS and website because it is a clean and efficient web framework for building robust web applications.

The next phase of the project involved addition of Events features and ticketing through project partner Ticket Leap.
